Mr. Vergara is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) with a bachelors in Civil Engineering and masters in Business Administration. He has over 20 years of professional experience in planning, scheduling and design of transportation and energy infrastructure. Mr. Vergara currently works for POWER ENGINEERS as a Project Controls Manager on engineering and construction projects in the energy industry. POWER ENGINEERS is a company with experience and expertise in energy, food and beverage, facilities, communications, environmental and federal markets. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, the company manages projects nationwide.
Mr Vergara has worked on a variety of public and private projects ranging from roadway design, light rail to renewable energy. His two most recent completed projects are CVSR power plant, a 250-megawatt solar photovotaic power plant project in eastern San Luis Obispo County and Mojave Solar Plant, a 280 MW concentrated solar power plant near Hinkley, California. Mr. Vergara is currently working on a 50 mile, 500 kV transmission line and substation project just north of Phoenix.
