To Whom It May Concern:
The purpose of this letter is to provide a written recommendation regarding the employment of Steve Vergara. Steve and I worked together for over 4 years at David Evans and Associates Inc., located in Bellevue WA where Steve worked under my supervision as a Senior Civil Engineer.
I strongly recommend Steve for consideration of employment. Both Steve and I moved on in our careers but if there were an opportunity for me to hire Steve in my current position I would not hesitate to do so. Steve is dependable, he has a "can do" attitude, he is self motivated, and has always shown willingness to get the job done. When Steve worked under my supervision at David Evans and Associates Inc., he was an integral part of my project teams and the due diligence he demonstrated in performing his duties was one of the main contributing factors to the financial success of the projects I managed. It is a main reason why I continually requested that Steve work on my projects. On that basis I can certainly recommend hiring Steve.
I would be pleased to provider further information.
Sincerely,
Jim Sammet, P.E

To Whom It May Concern:
I worked with Steve during all of his years at David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) in Bellevue. Steve was a project engineer and worked for me on several projects. One of the main projects was SR 161 where Steve worked on the updated channelization plan, InRoads design, cross sections, right-of-way plan, and utility coordination plan. Steve took ownership for the tasks he worked on and could be counted on to get them complete on time.
Steve went to many project meetings with me and the client would frequently call Steve to coordinate the design. Steve represented me and the firm well in lead roles.
Steve was always ready to jump in and assist on a project. Several times he went to Denver, Los Angeles and Phoenix on short notice to help the company with projects there.
Steve is a hard worker and proficient at InRoads and Microstation. He is very interested in improving his skills and takes advantage of all training opportunities. He gets along well with his coworkers.
I heartily recommend Steve to anyone interested in hiring him.
Sincerely,
James St. John, P.E

To Whom It May Concern:
Mr. Steve Vergara has studied Corporate Strategy and Operations Management under my supervision.
Mr. Vergara’s performance clearly shows him to be highly responsible, hard working and a valued member to his team. Indeed others looked to him for leadership which he naturally provided with integrity.
With regard to his academic performance I would rate him as the top student in Operations Management and one of the top 2 students in Corporate Strategy from amongst a body of international MBA students.
I am confident that Mr. Vergara will make a significant contribution to whichever firm he joins. I wish him every success.
Yours sincerely
Dr Jonathan Wilson, PhD, MPhil, MBA, BCom, FCMA, NACVA

To whom it may concern,
This is a letter of recommendation for Steve Vergara. Steve was a student in my Business Communications, MBA 505 class in the Spring of 2009.
This class had over 30 students, eighty percent of whom were foreign born and raised. Much of the activity in this class was performed in teams and the team in which Steve was a member functioned very well. Each member of Steve’s four person team was from a different country and the teamwork exhibited among the members was exceptional. This is a tribute to Steve’s ability to pull the team together as I believe the other team members looked to him for leadership and to ensure a clear understanding and implementation of the assignments.
Steve’s growth during this class was exceptional. As a Business Communications class, emphasis was on researching, writing, collaborating, and communicating business related topics and through PPT and class presentations, and as a I said, Steve’s personal growth was excellent.

Hi XXXX, we’ve previously met in Gilbert and at the RMEL Conferences. Today, at a Cost Engineer’s Mtg., (AACEI) in Phoenix I met a bright young man (Steve Vergara) who is quite impressive and was looking for a job as a Project Control Engineer. He speaks English and Spanish, (born in Spain) and has a degree in Civil Engineering and just got an MBA, (with emphasis in Project Management).
I told him that the best place in the whole world to learn Project Control would be at XXXX . He’s willing to work anywhere in the world and has a wife and two children. Again, I was very impressed with him and thought he would be a good fit for the young, clean-cut, smart, well spoken engineer mold at your organization.
Do you have any specific suggestions for him or would you be willing to make a recommendation for someone with whom he could talk in San Francisco or elsewhere?
Ray Jussila
Project Control Manager, SRP

“Steve consistently demonstrated commitment to his work; by the end of his assignment in central planning he worked with little supervision and still ensured that all of his deliverables were complete on time and in a quality manner. He showed initiative in engaging with the proposal team to drive issues to resolution and showed he wasn't afraid to get out on the floor and work with the team in person. Steve distinguishes himself from his peers with his work ethic, accountability and attention to detail."
